Who We Help

The Shared Plate Foundation helps local families facing food insecurity by covering school lunch debts and providing meals with compassion, not judgment. We exist to make sure no child goes hungry at school—and that every family feels supported, seen, and safe in asking for help.

FAQs

Common questions from families seeking help through the Shared Plate Foundation...

Who do you support?

We work with local schools and families to support students facing food insecurity. That includes covering school lunch debt, providing snacks, and offering essential supplies like reusable lunchboxes.

I’m a parent or caregiver. How can I get help?

You can email us at give@tspf.org. We offer support with no applications, no judgment, and no questions asked.

How do I apply for free or reduced-price lunch at my child’s school?

Most schools have applications available online through their district’s website. If you need help completing the form or aren’t sure if you qualify, reach out to us—we’ll walk you through it confidentially and respectfully.

What languages do you speak?

We speak English, Spanish, Urdu, and Punjabi. If you speak another language, we’re happy to provide a translator—just let us know how we can make communication easier for you.
